#1 here. Today, we are celebrating Tama-Chan's 9th birthday. It is a special birthday because, when she was so sick in the autumn of last year, I really wondered if she would make it to Christmas, never mind her next birthday. In the event, she is doing really well and I am so happy to be able to celebrate with her and the rest of the gang today!
Let me start with the first pic of her and me together:
She was about 5 weeks old when that picture was taken. The breeder had called me and asked me if I would be interested in taking her. She was unsellable because of her minor issues with her front paws. I immediately said yes!
She was the most magical little kitten:
Little Tama was quite skittish and she would only purr for Tommy, until after she had her kittens.
She has remained reserved but has become more and more affectionate towards me with each passing year.
Tama has always been the dominant cat here, but her role as Queen has become more and more established over the years.
She likes to dine on the windowsill at the entrance to the cat run:
She has recently adopted the bed under the Adirondack chair on the landing as a sleeping spot:
If I ever leave the drawer open in my bedroom, she hops in there immediately, the better to observe her boy Bibi's shenanigans (notice the laser eyes in the mirror!):
She really loves my shower or bath time!
And she loves to relax in the cat run:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my sweet, beautiful Tama. You are the apple of my eye. May you live and love with us for many years to come! Today will be a day of much Zoom-Groom brushing and many treats!
